See DIG-9394: grapes spread out over papers for drying. Only red grapes are used for making raisins. Only meant for personal use. Complete bunches are dried (about 60-80 grapes/bunch). During drying process, part of the grapes becomes isolated fron the bunch, however with its pedicels still attachted to the grape. Therefore, the presence of pedicels in archeobotanical samples is no clear evidence that grapes were transported as bunches (TU98-139).
